Throughout this course, students build a series of progressively more complex projects that culminate in a professional-grade portfolio. Mini-projects built during the course include: a personal portfolio website, a CSS layout and animation challenge series, a JavaScript quiz application, a weather app consuming a live API, and a to-do list with local storage. The capstone project is a complete, production-ready Next.js web application — designed to reflect a real product or business of the student's choice. This application will include multiple pages using Next.js file-based routing, server-side rendered and statically generated pages for optimal performance, data fetching with Next.js built-in methods, a fully responsive and polished UI built with Tailwind CSS and reusable React components, and deployment to a live public URL on Vercel. In the final section, students also build a small Vue.js mini-project — a reactive task manager or simple interactive component — that demonstrates the Vue fundamentals covered. Every student will also complete and publish a personal portfolio website showcasing all projects built during the course, ready to share with employers, clients, and collaborators worldwide.
