As the capstone project for this course, each student will complete a comprehensive End-to-End Data Analytics Project on a real-world dataset of their choice — drawn from a Nigerian or African business sector such as retail, finance, healthcare, agriculture, or logistics. The project will demonstrate the full analytics workflow and will include: a clearly defined business problem and set of analytical questions, a data collection and cleaning report documenting all transformations applied to the raw dataset, an exploratory data analysis (EDA) report with statistical summaries and Python-generated visualisations, a fully interactive Power BI dashboard presenting key metrics, trends, and segment breakdowns, an SQL query file containing all database queries used in the analysis, and a final insights and recommendations report written in plain language for a non-technical business audience. Students will present their projects to the class in a structured data review session, explaining their methodology, findings, and business recommendations as a professional data analyst would in a real workplace or client presentation.
